Ask for help politely
Не могли́ бы вы помо́чь мне с …? With ты: Помо́жешь мне с отчётом?
Agree on a time with дава́йте
Дава́йте в три? — Дава́йте. The same word proposes and accepts.

Пра́вильно я понима́ю, что …? Repeating the task in your words prevents a week of wrong work.
Ask and answer

Speak
Shadow it: play one line, pause, say it back at the same speed; then take the other part. Role-play: say your three moves aloud, in Russian, before you read any model.

- Ask if they are free and explain the problem.
- Check you understood the task by repeating it.
- Agree a time to discuss it.
Your boss asks how the project is going.
- Give a short status in two sentences.
- Say what you need: time, information, help.
- Propose when you will send the result.
